We cant believe its over already *sad face* but we had a blast and hope you guys did too.

2)Be Creative! Minimise to Maximise Challenge - sponsored by Crafty-Ness

Using a minimum of 6 photos, Paper (maximum of 3 different papers),Cardstock (maximum of 2 different colours/shades and One other embellishment: e.g. brads, chipboard, eyelets, ribbon

3)Use Your Stamps Challenge - Sponsored by Scrapajack
Sometimes stamps tend to get forgotten at the bottom of your stash, be creative and use them to add that little something to your layout.

The Charity Challenge

As you may know, this year we are once again raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Our friend and weekend delegate, Sheena Rowlands, will also be taking part in the 'Moon Walk'

This charity is not only committed to raising money and awareness for vital breast cancer causes but are they are also passionate about encouraging women and men to become healthier, fitter and to take charge of their own well being.

So with this in mind, our 'events organiser' Kirsty has come up with:

The 'Decorate Your Bra' Challenge.

This forms part of our pre-retreat challenges but will cost £2 to take part.

Of course, taking part is entirely optional but the more people that take part the more money we can raise.

The idea is to grab yourself a bra, old or new and decorate it until your hearts content.

These will then be displayed, or modeled if you wish at the retreat.

With a small prize being given for the best one.

So are you up for the challenge??

Pre-Retreat Challenge - Let The Fun Begin!

Well folks get ready for it.

Its pre-retreat challenge time and this is your first challenge: The Name Badge Challenge

This is the only compulsory pre-retreat challenge. I think you will all agree that will help us all to remember the names of the great new scrap mates we are going to meet!!!

However there is just one rule:

Create a badge that attaches to your person in a sensible place so it is easy to see (without having to search for it!)

The winner will not be chosen on the ingenuity of where they have put their badge, but the design of that badge.

The winner will be chosen by you!

So get going folks... its time to Scrap till Stratford...

Yep! thats right, we will be holding another retreat in May 2009 at the Swans Nest Hotel in Stratford Upon Avon.

What a blast! yep the Scrapajack retreat is over (until May anyway).

We had a great time, with lots of fab teachers and the classes were amazing....so thanks everyone for all your time and hard work.

Huge thanks for all our helpers too (who often go un-noticed) thanks for being there and standing by ready to do whatever, whenever.

We also raised, thanks to Kirsty Brown, £107 for the Breast Cancer Campaign, isnt that brilliant..thanks to everyone.

Just a little reminder:

Upon arrival you will be allocated a 'Buddy' this is the person that you will go to if you have any problems, queries etc.

If you forget anything (apart from your pics) dont panic, chances are that another delegate will have what you need and be more than happy to share.

If for some reason you change your mind and decide you dont want to do one of the classes youve booked, please let your 'buddy' know, we will then arrange for you to have the class kit instead.

Last but not least remember to have fun and enjoy yourself after all its your weekend.

Anyone Fancy a few Bits on the Side?!

Well youre in luck! Ness has created the most wonderful classes, known as Bits on the Side.

These classes are an optional extra (at extra cost) but trust us when we say, theyre worth the money.

The BOTS will go live along with the main classes next week. However, when choosing please bare in mind your main class times, ensuring they dont clash time wise.

Think outside the box!

Create a name badge that can adorn your body somehow BUT it can’t actually be a badge!

Autumn Retreat News

Our Autumn Retreat is now booking and being held at the luxurious Hilton Hotel in Bromsgrove, Worcs (M5, junction 4)

We are super lucky enough to have Ness and Rachel coming back to teach, plus a couple of other suber talented gals and they will be announced shortly.

Dawn U, Cambs - I had the most fabulous time. I haven't laughed so much for a long time. I was sure I was going to join the Tena crowd. There are so many people to mention who made it a truly great weekend. It was wonderful getting to spend time with my friend and learning lots of new skills. I learnt lots from every class I did and feel truly inspired by all the projects I saw.
I hope one day I can be half as good as you lot. The organisation was amazing I felt sure Debbie and Jakki had run a retreat before. I will definitely be there next year.

Scrap Outside of the Page - Optional Challenge #2

The Scrap Outside of the Page pre-retreat challenge is sponsored by Craftaway.

So this is your chance to get creative. We want you to think outside of the box – or in this case the page. Create or alter something fabulous - the more unusual the better! We want to see what you can do with your stash, stamps and inks. Don't get bogged down, remember this is a fun optional challenge with a great prize for the winner.

The rules are:

It has to reflect an aspect of your personality in one way or another. How it does this – you decide.

It must be something other than a scrapbook page or mini album (altered books and journals are allowed)

Most importantly it MUST feature stamping as a main element (as this is what Craftaway specialise in)

The winner will be decided by YOU! - Have fun creating.

Mini Book of Me - Optional Challenge

This is not intended to be scary or onerous. It is just a quick peek at who you are and what you like and don’t like. Just so we can learn something about each other. We also want to encourage you all to meet everyone and this is a way of accomplishing this.

It doesn’t even have to include pictures if you don’t want it to! The suggestion is that it is a ‘mini’ book therefore no bigger than 6x6 or 7x5 although it can be smaller of course - (we don’t want you to feel overwhelmed by this challenge).

One single (not double) page only on each of the following topics:

- General page about you – eg name, where you live etc
- Your favourite thing
- Your least favourite thing
- Your favourite scrapbook designer
- Your favourite paper range
- One thing about you that we would never guess
- Your greatest ambition in life

So the book will be at your scrap area for people to see when they come to say hello.

We will collect the books on Saturday morning for judging by the Scrapajack team.

You will get them back!

There is a prize for the winner!

Pre-Retreat Challenge - ID Badge

Well folks get ready for it...

This is the only compulsory pre-retreat challenge. I think you will all agree that will help us all to remember the names of the great new scrap mates we are going to meet!!!

However there is just one rule:

Create a badge that attaches to your person in a sensible place so it is easy to see (without having to search for it!)

The winner will not be chosen on the ingenuity of where they have put their badge, but the design of that badge.

The winner will be chosen by you!

So get going folks... its time to Scrap till Stratford...
